Tanner McAndrew appointed as VP – Risk Management and Corporate Strategy

TAMPA, Fla., October 20, 2023 – Energy Insurance Mutual Limited announced today the appointment of Tanner McAndrew as Vice President of Risk Management and Corporate Strategy, effective November 27, 2023.

Tanner has an extensive insurance, finance and risk management background encompassing over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Tanner is currently Director, Insurance & Risk Management at Tallgrass Energy. He oversees multiple business functions including enterprise risk management, insurance, claims, and business continuity. Prior to that, Tanner was with Lockton and Evergy, Inc. where he gained valuable technical experience and a first-hand appreciation for energy, power, and renewables operations.

Tanner is a poised and thoughtful leader who brings a holistic data-driven perspective to strategic thinking, and a collaborative and intellectually curious approach to problem solving, representative of EIM’s core values and that of a mutual. Tanner’s breadth of experience and unique skillset provides welcomed additional thought diversification to an existing high-performing EIM team.

Upon accepting the VP of Risk Management and Corporate Strategy, Tanner remarked, “I am very excited to take on a new role at EIM and look forward to supporting its vision to deliver bespoke insurance solutions, strategic thinking and added value to the membership.”

This is a newly dedicated resource at EIM created to not only oversee risk across the Company and corporate strategy but continue EIM’s mission of supporting the membership’s risk financing needs and clean energy goals. Tanner’s background in the energy industry will add tremendous value to the membership as new products and solutions are created in the future focused on the energy transition.
