Cindy Dobbins
Vice President – Chief Claims Officer
Cindy joined EIM in September 2023 as Vice President and Chief Claims Officer. Cindy began her legal career at a law firm in Chicago where she specialized in insurance defense. Cindy transitioned from practicing law to insurance claims during 2006 when she joined CNA Insurance, she held positions of increasing responsibility, including senior level claim handling and management positions. Cindy oversaw Professional Liability, Specialty, Financial Lines and Casualty claims. From there, Cindy served as Vice President, Professional Lines and Specialty Claims at Hiscox where she drove technical excellence. Cindy was appointed as a Board member at Hiscox.
Cindy manages the Claims organization at EIM. The lines of business include Excess Casualty, Excess D&O, Property, Cyber and Fiduciary. She is directing strategic decisions related to the resolution of claims and is involved with reporting to the Board about significant claims. Additionally, she manages the retention of panel and vendor firms. Cindy works closely with EIM reinsurers.
Cindy graduated from Purdue University in 1994 and from The John Marshall Law School with a J.D. degree, in 2004. At The John Marshall Law School, she served as an Editor of The Journal of Computer & Information Law Review. Cindy is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
