AM Best affirms EIM’s “A” Rating

Members and Friends,

As always, EIM stands ready to assist our members with their insurance needs. We continue to receive inquiries from existing and potential members who are experiencing volatility in the commercial insurance markets, proving once again the mutual advantage.

We remain proud of our capabilities and financial strength, and even more so when they are recognized by independent voices. Linked to this communication is a press release from AM Best affirming EIM’s Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of “A” (Excellent) and Long-Term ICR of “a” (Excellent). In its evaluation, AM Best called out EIM’s strong balance sheet, overall management, strength of our enterprise risk management process, reinsurance structure, and rigorous underwriting.

To no one’s surprise, AM Best also specifically mentioned you—our members—and your continued commitment to your mutual. None of this is possible without your continued support. I personally want to thank our Members, Board of Directors, Insurance Advisory Committee and EIM personnel who are all critical for EIM’s continued success.

Like many of you, we are looking forward at EIM to a return to our offices and something resembling a return to normal. Our staff will be returning to the office full-time after the Independence Day holiday in July. True to our long tradition of continuous improvement and learning, we have decided to take lessons learned during the pandemic and adopt a hybrid work environment where employees have the option to work remotely some of the time.

With EIM’s unique culture and strong teamwork, we believe a hybrid environment will allow us to continue to improve upon the superior level of service the membership has come to expect, offer flexibility to current staff, and attract talented individuals in the future years to come. We truly believe our people are paramount to success.

Thanks to all for the opportunity to be of service to our membership.

Sincerely,
Tommy Bolton President and Chief Executive Officer
