Megan Ogden and Kimberly Jenkins Promoted to New Roles

Energy Insurance Mutual announced today that Megan Ogden and Kimberly Jenkins have been promoted as both a reflection of their hard work and our desire to continue to improve organizational alignment and structure.
Megan Ogden has been promoted to Vice President, Captive Subsidiaries at Energy Insurance Mutual (EIM) reporting directly to Tommy Bolton, President and CEO of EIM. Megan joined our staff in 2020 where she has transitioned into various leadership roles at Energy Insurance Services (EIS) and Energy Captive Management (ECM). Her new position will include supervisory oversight and responsibility of EIS and ECM.
Megan worked in public accounting for 5 years before joining Marsh in the Cayman Islands to begin her career in captive management in 2004. After ten years with Marsh, Megan and her family moved to South Carolina in 2014 where she opened the JLT Insurance Management office and served as a Senior Account Executive and its US Chief Operations Officer until Marsh’s acquisition of JLT. Her captive experience includes most industry sectors including energy and all forms of captive structures including protected cell or sponsored captives. Megan received her B.A. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and holds her CPA designation from North Carolina. She’s an avid Alabama fan and enjoys spending time with her family and two children, Mackenzie and Jake.

Kimberly Jenkins has been promoted to Director of Energy Captive Management. Kim joined our staff in 2015 when ECM was formed and started management of EIS. She came to ECM with internal audit and compliance experience at Deloitte. Her new position will include supervisory oversight of ECM, including review of financial statement packages, regulatory filings, and annual audits.
Kim received her B.S in Business Administration and Masters in Accounting from the UNC Wilmington. Presently, Kim is serving as a Director of the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association. She enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband of 13 years, 8-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter along with their energetic boxer dog. Kim is also as passionate advocate for individuals with Down syndrome and is the co-founder and current board treasurer for GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston, a local non-profit that provides free, therapeutic based programs to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. “Kim has played such a valuable role in the growth of EIS and her knowledge and expertise of our structure, policies, and participant members are crucial to our future goals and strategic initiatives.
