Cindy Dobbins, ESQ To Succeed Ann Joslin, VP-Claims

TAMPA, Fla., August 28, 2023 – Energy Insurance Mutual Limited announced today the appointment of Cindy Dobbins as Vice President and Chief Claims Officer, effective September 10, 2023. Ms. Dobbins will succeed Ann Joslin, who will retire December 31, 2023.

Cindy has an extensive insurance and legal background encompassing over 20 years of experience. Cindy is currently Vice President of Professional Lines and Specialty Claims at Hiscox. She oversees multiple claims teams handling various lines of Specialty and Professional claims, including primary and excess claims. Prior to that, Cindy was with CNA Insurance as a Director where she gained vast technical and management experience in Casualty, Specialty, Professional and Financial Lines. Cindy began her legal career working for a law firm in Chicago specializing in insurance defense.

Cindy is a poised and strategic leader who brings a holistic approach to strategic thinking and possesses an innovative and collaborative approach to problem solving, representative of EIM’s core values and that of a mutual. Cindy has demonstrated the ability to drive optimal results by partnering with key stakeholders to create solutions and add value.

Upon accepting the Chief Claims Officer role, Cindy remarked, “I am very excited to take on a new role at EIM and look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding claims service, strategic thinking and adding value to EIM members. I am looking forward to working with Ann and the rest of the claims team on a successful transition.”

I cannot thank Ann Joslin enough for her contributions to EIM during her 19 years of service. An outstanding and truly dedicated professional, Ann has always been dedicated to the mutual concept and to EIM members. We wish her the best in her retirement.
